TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - There's just a little bit of time left to give to your favorite North Florida nonprofits as a part of a one-day donation drive.
Today is Endowment Match Day 2015. 70 local nonprofits are asking for you to make contributions to their organization's endowment fund to help keep the causes you care about running.
Every donation given today helps the nonprofits qualify to earn matching pool dollars and prize money for their funds, and it all ends tonight at 6 p.m.
The St. Marks Refuge Association is just one of the nonprofits participating.
They say the money raised today will be go towards a range of their programs.
"Programs include environmental education, wildlife protection...and all of the things that support the National Wildlife Refuge when the budget that's given by the federal government doesn't really cover all of those things," said Lou Kellenberger, who is on the Association's Development Committee.
