TPD searching for five persons of interest in Stearns Street shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Police have released a picture of five persons of interest who were spotted running near where the shooting at Urban Enclave Apartments happened on Sunday.

Police say that since the Sunday morning shooting, investigators have been "meticulously sorting" through surveillance video in the area.

To solicit help from the public, TPD has now released a photo of five people who appear to be running in an area close to where the shooting happened.

Police say the five people are being considered persons of interest in the investigation. Investigators are hopeful someone attending the Winter Festival or other downtown activities may have seen them in the Gaines Street area.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, the shooting occurred around 3:25 a.m. on Sunday in a breezeway inside Urban Enclave Apartments on Stearns Street. A female meal delivery driver was seriously hurt in the shooting.

"Investigators are determined to bring closure to this case and just one person with information can make a difference," police wrote in a press release.

Police are investigating after a woman was seriously injured during an early morning shooting on Stearns Street.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, the shooting occurred around 3:25 a.m. on Sunday in a breezeway inside Urban Enclave Apartments on Stearns Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that a woman had been shot. TPD says the woman was later transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The victim, a meal delivery driver, remains at a local hospital being treated for injuries sustained during the shooting.
