Woman arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into Jackson County prison

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A woman was arrested after deputies say she was caught trying to deliver drugs to an inmate inside a Jackson County prison.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the GEO prison near Graceville for a report of a woman bringing drugs into the facility on Saturday.

Deputies say Nichole Killeen was found with 51.3 grams of K2 spice while undergoing a routine search before entering the prison for visitation.

During an interview, Killeen sad she "received the drugs in the mail and was instructed to deliver them to the prisoner during a visitation."

When deputies strip searched Killeen they found a bag of meth inside her bra.

Deputies also conducted a search of Killleen's vehicle.

During the search, they found a glass pipe in which deputies believed was used for ingesting meth, along with a package that contained marijuana inside.

JCSO says Killeen also brought her 5-year-old daughter to the visit and she was placed into to the custody of The Department of Children and Family Services.

Killeen was lodged in the Jackson County Correctional Facility.

She is being charged with possession of meth, K2 spice and bringing contraband into a Correctional Facility.
