TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State Seminoles football team is showing its support for Tripp DeMott.

The Moultrie 1st grader was hit by a car and seriously injured. On Monday his school wore red, his favorite color.

Hugh Tomlinson with Seminole Boosters, delivered a birthday gift to Tripp's family, an autographed football on behalf of Coach Willie Taggart and FSU coaches.

Tomlinson says they've been following Tripp's progress since learning of his accident, and have been praying for him during their devotions.

"Tripp had his 7th birthday Sunday while he is still recovering from this accident," said Tomlinson. "I got a call from Taggart's office saying they had a signed ball and card for Tripp as a birthday gift and they asked me if I could get it to the Demount family and I said absolutely."

Tripp continues recovering in the ICU. His 7th birthday was Sunday.
