VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — On Tuesday, Wild Adventures Theme Park presented a donation from the park's employees to the Children's Advocacy Center of Lowndes County.

The $1,500 donation is going to help fund the CAC’s mission to minimize the trauma of child abuse victims, according to a press release.

“In the spirit of giving this Christmas, our team members voted to take the funds normally set aside for employee celebrations and give them directly to the Children’s Advocacy Center,” said Jon Vigue, Wild Adventures Vice President, and General Manager.

The CAC's Executive Director Ashley Lindsay expressed her appreciation for the donation and said it will be used to make a profound impact on the more than 700 children and families that have come through CAC in 2020.

According to the park, they also recently donated 9,000 tickets to 50 non-profit organizations and 24 police departments to give to children and families to attend Christmas celebrations at the park.
