WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A Wakulla County man is in jail after deputies with the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office found drugs and cash after a search during a traffic stop Friday night.

Deputies said Benjamin Millership was stopped for driving on a suspended license after he was seen driving around Wakulla Station around 8:50 p.m. on Friday.

When the deputy tried to place handcuffs on him, Millership shoved the deputy and tried to run away, but was tased and taken into custody, WCSO officials said.

During a search of Millership's car, a bag was found to contain methamphetamine, a digital scale, heroin, pills and several drug paraphernalia items.

Additionally, the deputy found a bag in the backseat of the car that had more than $38,000 in cash along with a check made out to Millership for $20,000.

Based on the evidence, authorities found probable cause to arrest Millership for driving on a suspended license, battery, resisting arrest and multiple drug possession charges.

Millership is currently being held at the Wakulla County Jail.
