JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - — Two Marianna men are now behind bars after one helped the other hide from deputies.
Jackson County deputies said they got a tip that Maurice Bennett Jr was hiding out at a place on Lynch Drive Saturday. He's wanted for drug trafficking and gun charges. Sheriff's deputies said Buddy Wyatt lives at the home where Bennett Jr was hiding and lied to them about it. Instead, he said he saw the man running around the area. When law officers finally found him, Bennett Jr admitted he was inside.
Both are now being held at Jackson County Correctional Facility.
