WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Department of Health has confirmed a second positive case of coronavirus in Wakulla County.

A 65-year-old man is the latest Wakulla County resident to test positive for coronavirus. The man did not have a history of travel but did have contact with a confirmed case.

The first case was confirmed in a 45-year-old woman on last week, according to the FDOH's statewide dashboard.

The latest confirmation comes after two employees at St. Marks Powder tested positive for coronavirus.

In their Wednesday evening report, FDOH said that 60 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Wakulla County.

FDOH-Wakulla is encouraging residents to take precautions and practice mitigation techniques like social distancing to prevent any further spread.
