TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Wakulla County Fire Rescue is doing their part to help save lives in the Big Bend from the coronavirus.
According to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, WCFR donated eight Eagle ventilators to TMH. Those ventilators will go the the healthcare facility's respiratory therapy team.
TMH's respiratory therapy team has been particularly crucial in the fight against the virus, as health officials around the globe have reported that the virus takes a heavy toll on a patient's respiratory system.
"The strength of our community is not found in individuals or stand-alone organizations, but the way in which we all band together when challenges come our way," TMH wrote in a Facebook post thanking WCFR.
