WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. — Wakulla County recognized it's 176th birthday with a celebration.

Monday's program included members of Wakulla 4-H reading the proclamation by the Wakulla Board of Commissioners, declaring March 10-16 "Wakulla Wonderful Week".

The birthday celebration included live music from Wakulla County jazz ensemble students, and free birthday cake.

"That's one thing we think is important, a lot of critical things happened here that are important to Florida," said Dr. Rachel Pienta, Wakulla 4-H Director.

The event that ran until 7:30 p.m. Monday, also featured special guided tours of the old county courthouse and jail.
