VALDOSTA, Fla. (WTXL) — Valdosta State University has canceled all Spring 2020 commencement ceremonies due to the coronavirus outbreak.
VSU issued an announcement Thursday morning stating "following the successful completion of academic requirements, diplomas will be mailed directly to all VSU graduates. "
The university also noted it is "looking for an alternative way to celebrate this year's special group of graduates."
A special announcement regarding that celebration will be coming at a later date.
Earlier this week, the University also announced that all classes will be held online for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester.
