TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and Village Square are giving people an opportunity to clear up any misconceptions about the virus on Friday.

The goal of the conversation with health experts is to uncover the truth about COVID-19.

This is not the first time a conversation is happening with Village Square.

This time, experts will also talk about vaccines and take a greater look at the potential for post-holiday spikes.

Village Square said those are some of the few coronavirus topics raising concerns.

They said many people are getting fed misinformation about what the virus is and its impacts.

Friday's discussion aims to clear up confusion around the virus and keep people informed based on facts.

They're partnering with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare to do it and getting the answers from doctors and front line workers.

"Now that the elections over, I think people are really settling down and saying hey I really want to understand this fully, so we're going to be diving into a lot of topics that are relevant to a lot of people," said Skip Foster, who will moderate Friday's discussion.

They'll also take on another health concern related to the pandemic; people no longer going to the doctor over fears of getting coronavirus.

This community conversation is Friday at 1 p.m.
