THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — Three Thomas County deputies and a Thomasville police officer are being hailed as heroes after they rescued a crash victim from a burning car.

The Thomas County Sheriff's office shared a video of the fiery crash on Facebook Monday afternoon.

Deputy Kaleb Moore, Deputy Caleb Lindburg, Cpl Dylan Groves (TCSO), and Officer Shaquille Thomas (TPD) all responded to a single-car wreck on 19 South on Saturday night, according to the sheriff's office.

When officers arrived on the scene, the car was on fire and the driver was still inside.

TCSO said Moore and Lindberg acted quickly and removed the driver from the car. All four law enforcement officers then carried the injured driver to safety, seconds before the car was engulfed in flames.

"Far too often these selfless acts are overlooked or completely forgotten. The citizens of Thomasville and Thomas County are very fortunate to have men like you in uniform. I can assure you; you are each appreciated," wrote Sheriff Carlton Powell in a statement shared to Facebook on Monday. "I pray that God continues to allow each of you to serve the people of our community."

TCSO also said they were praying for the injured driver and his family.
