VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — Valdosta firefighters are investigating after a late night fire broke out at a home on West Savannah Avenue on Tuesday.
The Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire in the 1000 block of W. Savannah Avenue on Tuesday around 11:46 p.m.
The first fire unit arrived within three minutes to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.
VFD says crews were able to extinguish the fire within minutes. A total of 18 VFD personnel were on scene to help extinguish the fire.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported and all residents made it out of the home before crews arrived.
The Valdosta Police Department and South Georgia Medical Center EMS assisted on scene.
Authorities say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
