VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — It's hard to miss the white box sitting outside The Haven in Valdosta.
That white box is one of the newest community food pantries in Valdosta by The United Way.
With three others located around the city, the pantry is stocked with baby food, feminine hygiene products, and other basic food items that will give families a little extra help when needed.
The Haven says boxes like these were needed now more than ever due to the Pandemic.
"Since the onset of the pandemic, a lot of the food pantries and places people would get closed down due to social distancing and being unable to do that, and so that's where this project really got started," said Karen Yawn, the manager of The Haven.
Items can be donated to the pantry at 1807 Plum Drive in Valdosta.
