VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — A 54-year-old man has been arrested for child molestation after police say he exposed his genitals to young children at a local restaurant.

The Valdosta Police Department says the incident happened on Sunday, April 28, around 12:30 p.m.

Officers were called to an undisclosed restaurant in the 3100 block of North Oak Street Extension about a man who was exposing his genitals to children under the age of 10. Police say the children were sitting inside the restaurant with their family when he exposed himself.

When officers arrived on scene, the unknown suspect ran away from the area. Witnesses described the suspect as an older man who left the area in a white Cadillac.

Through an investigation, police uncovered video evidence from the restaurant and identified the offender as 54-year-old Milton Jenkins from Lakeland. He was arrested by the Lanier County Sheriff's office Friday evening.

Jenkins is being charged with two counts of child molestation and one count of public indecency. VPD says the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
