VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — This week is teacher appreciation week and we’ve come to learn how much teachers do, now more than ever.
Even though this year is a little different due to the pandemic, the Valdosta school district always tries to make a big deal during teacher appreciation week.
Valdosta City Schools took to the skies, hanging banners across town to show appreciation to their educators.
“I think now more than ever, not just me as an employee of the school district, but me as a parent of three kids that I’m also trying to help with school work at home, I appreciate our teachers more so than ever before,” said Jennifer Steedley, the executive director of Public Relations, Valdosta City Schools Foundation.
The banners are on Patterson Street and Baytree Road.
Fairway Outdoor placed the banner’s image on their billboards for the whole week as well.
