TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Preparations are taking place across the state as Floridians prepare for Hurricane Dorian, many are staged right here in the Capital City.

They are prepared and getting things ready in case they get the 'All Clear' to help people in need.

The state contracted with the private company out of Texas called Garner. They will provide anything to make life more comfortable for those who might be impacted by the storm.

Governor Ron DeSantis urges Floridians to remain vigilant.

"This is going to be riding Florida's coast for the next day, day and a half. While we think this is a much better track than what we were looking at 72 hours ago, we just ask people to stay safe, remain vigilant," said DeSantis.

The Garner staging area is in the exact same spot as last year during Hurricane Michael.

The crews at the staging area will remain here until they are needed no more.
