TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Walking through botanical gardens is something you can do while social distancing. Now, one in Tallahassee is being featured on a united states postal stamp.
Maclay Gardens was selected along with nine other gardens across the country.
These stamps were made available on Wednesday and revealed through a virtual ceremony Thursday afternoon.
"When working on a series such as this, it's impossible to include everything that should be included. What we look for, first of all, are stamps that visually work together that start to tell the story. Just because we've done this series right now, does not mean there are not opportunities to do other series in the future that features more gardens."
The pane of 20 stamps features 10 different photographs taken between 1996 and 2014.
