LEON COUNTY, FLA. — According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 17- year-old was driving southbound on County Road 1543 at about 11:15 p.m. last night.
The driver failed to stop at a flashing red traffic light at the intersection of County Road 1543 and U.S. 27.
The 17-year-old driver then crashed into the side of a car, driven by 59-year-old Dannette Turner.
Florida Highway Patrol, Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the Leon County Emergency Medical Services assisted on scene.
Turner and passenger Marilyn Bishop are currently recovering at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare with critical injuries.
The minor driver is recovering at the same hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
