LEON COUNTY, Fla. — Two people are in jail after deputies found them in a van at a closed Leon County park with a gun, marijuana, and more than $1,200 in cash.

Dyneshia Shaw and Synara Bouie were arrested by the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

Just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies saw a red Chrysler van in the Fred George Greenway Park. Per Leon County Ordinance, the parks are closed from a half hour after sunset through a half hour before sunrise.

Deputies tried to do a traffic stop on the van inside the park, but Shaw, who was driving the van, did not stop. LCSO says Shaw eventually stopped the van on Victor Brown Road.

During the traffic stop, deputies found a .380 caliber handgun, about 77 grams of marijuana, and over $1,200 in cash. The gun and marijuana were found under Bouie's seat.

Bouie was previously convicted of a felony. He is being charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon.

Shaw is being charged with felony fleeing and eluding.

Both were taken to the Leon County Detention Facility.
