SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — Troopers say two drivers were killed during an early morning head-on collision in Suwannee County over the weekend.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Saturday around 4:15 a.m. on County Road 132 at 34th Street in Suwannee County.

FHP says a Kia Soul and a Buick were both traveling on 34th street. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Kia veered into another lane in the path of the Buick.

As a result, this caused a head-on collision between the two vehicles.

Troopers say the driver of the Kia was identified as Michael David Brown, 36, of Live Oak. The driver of the Buick was identified as Courtney Nichole Palmer, 29, of Live Oak.

FHP says Brown was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Palmer was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
