QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida Highway Patrol says a 19-year-old was killed Thursday morning during a crash on Blue Star Highway in Quincy.
Troopers responded to the crash around 7:22 a.m. on Thursday. It happened near the intersection of Blue Star Highway and McClendon Lane.
The crash victim was identified as 19-year-old De'Vontez Lanier of Tallahassee.
Troopers say Lanier traveled off the road and crashed into a tree.
As a result of the crash, he received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Drivers are asked to use caution while traveling through the area. While roads are open, officers are on scene directing traffic and delays are expected.
