Tallahassee man killed in I-10 accident in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. — A Tallahassee man was killed after he was ejected from a car that ran off the road on I-10 due to a tire failure.

Charles Gamble, 59, died from his injuries sustained in the accident.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place on I-10 eastbound near mile marker 260 at about 11: 58 a.m. Thursday.

FHP stated a Ford F-150 was traveling on I-10 when it experienced a tire failure.

FHP said that caused the Ford to drive off the roadway and onto the grass median before overturning. Gamble was ejected from the car.

He was taken to Madison County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was also taken to Madison County Memorial Hospital.

According to FHP, charges are pending investigation.

FHP was assisted by the Madison County Sheriff's Office, Madison County EMS, Madison County Fire Rescue, and Road Rangers.


The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal crash on I-10 in Madison County.

According to FHP, the accident is on I-10 eastbound near mile marker 260 in Madison County.

FHP said the accident took place at about 12:09 p.m. Thursday and they arrived to the scene two minutes later.

FHP says the left lane is back open.
