MADISON COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash on I-10 East in Madison County.
Troopers say the crash the occurred Thursday around 9:11 p.m. on I-10 at Mile Marker 240 in Madison County.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased person based off pending of next of kin notification.
FHP says a Toyota Camry was headed eastbound when the driver crashed into the front of a Chevy Tahoe.
After the collision, the driver of the Camry was attempting to exit the vehicle.
At the same time a third vehicle was traveling eastbound in the inside lane and was unable to stop in time before crashing.
Troopers say that vehicle ended up hitting the the Camry and the driver.
After crashing into the Camry, the vehicle also hit two other cars that were both parked on the south shoulder of the roadway.
FHP says the driver of the Toyota Camry was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Tahoe was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Troopers say a fatal crash is blocking all lanes on I-10 East in Madison County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Thursday around 9:11 p.m. on I-10 at Mile Marker 241 near U.S. 221.
Troopers say the road is completely blocked in the area of the crash.
It is unknown at this time how many cars were involved or if there are any other injuries.
