SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Live Oak man is dead after a head-on crash on U.S. 90.

According to FHP, the accident happened around 8:33 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of U.S. 90 and 81st Road.

They say a 2018 Toyota Yaris, driven by Kenneth McClain, was heading east on U.S. 90 while two other cars were traveling west. At some point, McClain's car crossed over the center line into the westbound travel lane, hitting one of the cars traveling west.

Troopers say debris from the crash also hit one of the cars traveling west.

McClain was flown to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital by a helicopter where he died from his injuries. The driver of the car McClain crashed into was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

U.S. 90 was shut down due to the crash, but has since been reopened.
