Troopers identify person killed in Crawfordville Road accident

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Troopers say a Crawfordville women is dead after fatal crash in Leon County on Monday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 9:26 p.m. near the intersection of Crawfordville Road and Wild Flower Road.

FHP says the driver was identified as 33-year-old Jessica Spears.

Spears was driving on Crawfordville Road when she lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the road.

After exiting the roadway, the vehicle then began to overturn as it crashed into multiple trees.

Troopers say Spears was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident caused a roadblock on Crwafordville Road on Monday night, but at this time the scene has been cleared.


The Florida Highway Patrol is on scene of a fatal crash on Crawfordville Road in Tallahassee.

According to FHP, the accident happened at about 9:26 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Crawfordville Road and Wild Flower Road.

FHP says there is currently a road block in the area and emergency vehicle are on scene. They are urging drivers to use an alternate route.

At this time, we don't know how many cars were involved or the extent of any other injuries.
