TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The severe weather Friday morning was seen all through the region, bringing thunder, heavy rain, and very strong winds.
Those damaging winds brought down trees across Leon County.
At the corner of Virginia and Gadsden Streets in Tallahassee, at Midtown Place Apartments, there is a tree resting on the roof of a building.
After the main threat of storms passed, there was a crew out trying to get the tree down. But here's the problem, the cars are parked near the base of the building and they have to make sure the tree doesn't fall on cars, causing even more damage.
And then, the rain picked back up again for for a short time, further complicating the removal efforts.
From the outside, we did see some damage to the gutter over the apartment, but it's unclear if there was any other kind of damage to the residence.
Just like what we saw here, it seems like crews of all kind were out quickly trying to assess the damage and remove any danger.
