JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A woman was arrested after deputies found meth and drug paraphernalia inside her vehicle during a traffic stop in Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a seize tag order issued by the State of Florida on Tuesday morning.

During the traffic stop, the driver Jayla Long, 29, of Kissimmee was unable to produce her driver’s license.

A check of her driver's license status revealed that it had been recently been suspended.

Later during the investigation, Long admitted to knowing that her license was suspended.

Deputies then searched the vehicle and found a clear plastic container with a crystal like substance inside.

The substance was field tested and was identified as meth.

Also within the bag were syringes which deputies say are typically found with the use of illicit drugs.

Based on the evidence, Long was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.

Long is being charged with possession of meth, drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.
