Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — A man out on probation has been arrested again after deputies found him in possession of meth during a traffic stop.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says deputies conducted a traffic stop on a green Ford Ranger for a seat belt violation on Sunday.

Deputies identified the driver as 43-year-old Robert Drummond of Cottondale. They say a check of his license revealed that it was suspended and that he was listed as a habitual traffic offender.

Deputies also found that Drummond was also on state probation.

During the the traffic stop, deputies searched Drummond and found meth in his possession.

Based on the evidence, Drummond was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.

He is facing charges on possession of meth and driving while license suspended.
