LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. — A man has been arrested after law enforcement found nearly one pound of marijuana, along with other drug paraphernalia, inside his car.

Justin Beard, 31, was arrested by the Liberty County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday, deputies were conducting traffic enforcement on State Road 12 within the City of Bristol.

Deputies observed Beard's vehicle traveling in excess of the posted speed limit and conducted a traffic stop for the violation. Upon making contact with Beard, deputies noticed marijuana “shake” on his lap.

Deputies asked Beard if there was any marijuana in the vehicle, and he handed over several items of drug paraphernalia commonly used to smoke marijuana from his cup holder.

Based on these observations, deputies conducted a search of Beard’s vehicle. Ultimately, they found nearly one pound of marijuana, 109 THC oil “vape” pens, 20 marijuana cigarettes, and $195 in cash.

Beard has been charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and possession of a schedule I controlled substance (THC Oil).

His bond has been set at $15,000.
