TPD investigating overnight burglary on Capital Circle NW

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Police are investigating an overnight burglary that occurred at Masters of Gun and Rod on Capital Circle Northwest.

The Tallahassee Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at Masters of Gun and Rod on Capital Circle Northwest at 1:05 a.m. on Monday morning.

While investigating the scene, officers determined a burglary occurred and based on their observations they had reason to believe a suspect was possibly inside with numerous guns and ammunition accessible to them.

TPD’s Tactical Apprehension and Control Team responded to the business to help with the incident.

Police say after several hours, TPD’s TAC Team made the area safe and did not locate a suspect inside the business.

While on scene, officers were able to confirm that the business was the victim of a burglary where the suspect(s) used force to gain entry.

This case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Burglary Crimes Unit.

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently working an active incident in the 1500 block of Capital Circle Northwest.

Police say roads were blocked off early Monday morning near Commonwealth Boulevard and Hartsfield Road.

TPD says the roads are now open and the area is safe for the public and motorists.

At this time, police have not released any additional information.
