Summer vacation is here for many students in our area and for their parents the big task now is finding ways to keep them entertained and involved.

One option is the Tallahassee Police Department's Youth Citizens' Police Academy.

Officer Melissa Rios joined WTXL on Wednesday to give us the details of this program.

TPD will host its YCPA from June 18, 2019 until July 30, 2019. The YCPA is a program designed for teenagers ages 13-17 to learn more about the inner-workings of TPD while participating in several police related activities. There are no costs to the participants.
