TPD: Shooting suspect arrested for manslaughter in Tallahassee after body found in Quincy

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested a suspect for manslaughter after a tip from Wakulla County deputies about a shooting on Pullen Road led them to discover a body in Quincy, according to a news release sent Thursday.

On Wednesday, TPD received information from the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office about a homicide that occurred in Tallahassee. According to a witness, a shooting occurred in a townhouse on Pullen Road and had not yet been reported.

When police searched the home, their investigation uncovered details of a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning and led investigators to a body in Gadsden County on Thursday.

ABC 27 was there as police responded to Anns Alley near Lake Talquin in Quincy Thursday afternoon. Police say the victim has been identified as an adult male.

TPD later identified 38-year-old Rohn Vause as a suspect and took him into custody. He is being charged with manslaughter, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance (two counts), and possession of drug paraphernalia with additional charges pending.

Although an arrest has been made, parts of the case are still open.
