TPD seeking information on suspicious incident on Apalachee Pkwy.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a suspicious incident that occurred on Wednesday around 5:25 p.m. at 3501 Apalachee Parkway, where a Murphy Oil USA is located.

Witnesses told responding officers they saw a white female walking through the parking lot and a white male driving a black, four-door sedan drive up to her, exit the vehicle, and grab the woman while she shouted for help.

Witnesses say the man picked her up and forced her into the back seat of the vehicle.

The vehicle was observed leaving the area in the direction of Walmart.

Investigators believe the woman was in the same vehicle just prior to the incident.

Investigators with TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and are currently seeking any information about the identity and whereabouts of the involved parties.

The victim was described as a younger, white female in her twenties with dark brown hair in a ponytail wearing a black shirt and jeans.

The white male suspect was described as being in his thirties and wearing a ball cap, white shirt, and shorts.

Witnesses reported there was also a passenger in the front seat of the vehicle when the incident occurred. This person is described as an older white female in her fifties with long gray hair.

Photographs were obtained by investigators showing the black sedan involved in the incident.

TPD asks anyone who may have witnessed the incident but did not speak with an officer on the scene, or anyone with information about this incident to please call 850-891-4200.
