TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a scam case where a suspect has approached several Tallahassee homes and falsely represented himself as a DirecTV vendor.
Police say the man has recently visited local homes and fraudulently identified himself using the name “Mark.”
TPD says after giving a fake sales pitch, the victims paid the man cash or checks made payable to “Selena Cruz,” for service which never occurs.
The suspect may be in the company of a young adult Hispanic woman and is possibly driving a dark colored/maroon 4 door sedan.
