TPD officer, citizen injured after crash on Thomasville Road

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Two people, including a Tallahassee Police officer, have been taken to the hospital after a patrol car involved crash on Thomasville Road Friday morning.

The Tallahassee Police Department says they responded to a traffic crashnear Timberlane and Thomasville Road around 10:22 a.m. on Friday.

The initial investigation revealed that as a result of the crash, two people were injured, including a Tallahassee Police officer.

Both the police officer and citizen were transported to a local hospital. The officer sustained minor injuries and the citizen is being evaluated and treated at this time.

The investigation is on-going.

TPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.


Several lanes have been shut down due to a crash involving a Tallahassee Police Department patrol car.

The crash happened around 10 a.m.

At this time, west bound lanes are closed between Thomasville Road and Capital Circle NE.
