TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Incoming Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell has begun the process of looking for a Deputy Chief of Police.
Starting Monday (Dec. 30), the Tallahassee Police Department is accepting applications for Deputy Chief of Police. This is part of Revell’s vision to enhance internal structures and implement positive change within TPD.
“As I work to build a command staff that is representative of the community we serve, each role that I fill will be critically important in helping to move TPD forward,” incoming Chief Revell said.
TPD says internal and external applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and possess extensive familiarity with modern policing techniques and best practices, as well as concepts of administration and effective supervision.
From assisting with policy reviews and budget planning to representing the department in the community, members of the command staff will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations and strategic planning at TPD.
