TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating after a man in a wheelchair was hit by a car Tuesday morning at the intersection of Tennessee Street and North Meridian Street.
TPD said that they were called out to a traffic crash just after 11a.m. on Tuesday.
When they arrived, they learned that an adult man in a wheelchair had been hit by a vehicle.
He was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Eastbound lanes were closed for just over an hour as investigators dug through the scene. The lanes have since been reopened.
This is an open investigation. TPD says no other information is available at this time.
