TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee police are investigating a morning shooting on Elberta Drive that left one man injured.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, the shooting happened Saturday at approximately 9:30 a.m, in the 1500 block of Elberta Drive.
Police say the victim is an adult man who was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the report, witnesses told officers the suspect ran to a neighbor's home.
After a short time, 44-year-old Curtis Dowdell surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
Dowdell was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and resisting arrest.
TPD also arrested 31-year-old Tiffany Wilson, charged with resisting arrest.

TPD's Tactical Apprehension and Control Team assisted with the arrest.
This case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit.
