TPD, FDLE's joint investigation leads to drug and gun arrest

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(WTXL) — Police say a joint investigation has led to the arrest of a convicted felon on multiple drug and gun charges.

The Tallahassee Police Department, along with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, served a narcotics search warrant at 1857 West Pensacola Street on Thursday.

Police say tips to TPD and FDLE led investigators to believe the suspect was trafficking in narcotics, and joint efforts between the agencies established enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for the residence.

The warrant service revealed LSD, paraphernalia, currency, gun parts, and ammunition.

The suspect, 27-year-old Dawyght Moore, was taken into custody and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility.

He is facing multiple charges including possession of LSD with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and armed home invasion robbery (warrant-violation of parole).

TPD is says they are committed to enhancing public safety and addressing the illegal sale of narcotics.
