TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - — Tallahassee police have arrested a man in connection to a stabbing incident that happened outside of the Live Oaks at Killearn Apartments on the Fourth of July.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, officers responded to the 1500 block of Delaney Drive after receiving reports of two people being involved in an altercation just after 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers said they found a victim seriously hurt with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Witnesses also provided information regarding the suspect, who was still in the complex and quickly detained by officers.

During an extensive on-scene investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest 28-year-old Armando Gonzalez for the stabbing.

Through interviews with multiple witnesses and the victim, officers discovered Gonzalez stabbed the victim without provocation.

Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for attempted homicide.
