TMH NICU babies celebrate Halloween

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Newborn Intensive Care Unit has an adorable Halloween tradition.

"Bringing the Halloween fun to these little ones and their parents are just one of the many ways our team works to normalize the NICU environment and keep families’ spirits high," TMH NICU said in a statement. "Our crafty NICU night team created the costumes, and our day team helped bring their visions to life."

Representatives for the TMH NICU said having a baby in the NICU can be very stressful for new moms and families, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

TMH is home to the region’s only NICU and works to make the environment as comfortable as possible for the babies and families.
