Tifton police make arrest in fatal domestic stabbing

TIFTON, Ga. (WTXL) — The Tifton Police Department arrested a man in connection to a deadly stabbing on Jan. 16.

Monee Tumbling was arrested on Thursday for the murder of 47-year-old Roderick Clark who was found dead on the kitchen floor with an apparent stab wound on Jan. 16.

According to TPD's report, police responded to the 1300 block of South Central Avenue about an unresponsive man on Jan. 16.

When officers arrived, they found Clark with an apparent stab wound lying on the kitchen floor and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

With the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, police arrested 32-year-old Monee Tumbling, of Tifton.

Tumbling was charged with murder and aggravated assault for the domestic violence incident.

Tumbling is currently being held in the Tift County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
