VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — Three men were arrested after officers say they fired shots from a vehicle in front of a Valdosta home.

Patrol officers from the Valdosta Police Department witnessed a vehicle stop in front of a home on North Toombs Street on Monday morning.

Officers say they then heard multiple shots coming from the vehicle.

The suspects later identified as Demarcus Thomas, William Gordon, and Daniel Pinkney fled the scene in the vehicle and officers pursued them.

Eventually, the suspects stopped their vehicle and fled on foot.

Officers were able to quickly locate the three suspects and arrest them.

During the investigation, a handgun that had been reported stolen previously was recovered along with other physical evidence connecting these individuals to this crime.

Officers say this appears to be an isolated incident that revolved around an argument that had taken place earlier on Toombs Street.

The suspects were transported to Lowndes County Jail in reference to the following charges:

Demarcus Thomas, 25, Discharge of Firearms on or near public roadway Reckless Conduct and Obstruction of an Officer.

William Gordon, 23, Discharge of Firearms on or near public roadway, Reckless Conduct.

Daniel Pinkney, 46, Discharge of Firearms on or near public roadway, Reckless Conduct.

VPD says this case is still under investigation and further charges are pending.
