THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — The 33rd annual Thomasville Victorian Christmas celebration is kicking off on Thursday.

Event organizers have planned for this event for over a year.

Not only is it a chance for families to get together to celebrate the holiday season, but it also brings in a lot of business for the city. This two day Christmas event brings about 34,000 people to the city.

People who come can enjoy a nativity performance, carriage rides, food, and more. This is something the whole community looks forward to every year.

"We are so excited for Victorian Christmas. This is our 33rd year so so it's a wonderful tradition," said Sarah Bagget with the City of Thomasville. "It happens rain or shine and we are excited to welcome everybody.

The event was started by merchants to showcase downtown Thomasville. Event organizers are so thankful to see the event grow bigger and bigger each year.

Victorian Christmas will take place Thursday night and Friday night throughout downtown Thomasville from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
