THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — A group of Thomasville residents launched an initiative in their neighborhood to find and assist those who may need a little extra help.
They sent out letters to their neighbors to explain how it works.
If you put a GREEN paper on your door it means you are doing okay.
A RED paper means that there is a need within the house, perhaps someone is elderly or unable to get to the store for necessary supplies, etc.
Their idea is that a daily walk or ride around the neighborhood may help to check on each other.
They suggest if you leave a RED paper on the door to also write a phone number on it so neighbors can communicate with you without personal contact.
Neighborhood connections may also be made via the virtual neighborhood watch called Nextdoor.
