Thomasville Police are warning residents about a prowler who's been reportedly grabbing on door handles and and aggressively stalking women to ask for money.

Police say Frederick Jones III, also known as Butch, is currently out on bond for loitering and prowling.

They say they've received numerous reports in which Jones has been approaching homes, knocking on doors, and shaking door handles. In some of these cases, when Jones talks to the homeowner, he lies and says that his car is out of gas and his wife and child are abandoned in it nearby.

Jones has also been reported to aggressively stalk women to solicit money out of them, making them feel threatened and intimidated.

He is described as a 30-year-old man around 5'4 tall, weighs approximately 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

If anyone sees Jones or speaks to him, you are asked to call 911 immediately. Police are asking that you provide the location where you saw him and description of what he was wearing.
