THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Police are asking for your help to catch some thieves in Thomasville after a series of car break-ins.
At least ten cars were broken into. But not a single owner had locked the car door.
Every neighbor we spoke to says it's a safe neighborhood so something like this happening comes as a complete shock.
It all happened in the neighborhood of Robin Hood Road, between Imperial Drive and Doncaster.
No vehicles were damaged, but about ten cars had loose change, wallets and other belongings stolen. A black Toyota Tundra was also stolen.
Thomasville Police say this is just another example of why people need to follow the 9PM routine of locking your car and taking out anything valuable.
"We try to educate and we try to reinforce, reinforce, reinforce every time we send out a message saying make sure you lock your vehicles," said Major Wade Glover, with the Thomasville Police Department. "Sometimes it could be a catch 22, sometimes if you lock your car door then the perpetrator actually busts a window out. But in this particular case, I mean every vehicle."
Police don't have any leads at this time, but they're asking people to check their security cameras to help them identify someone or some people.
We're told the suspects would cut through people's yards to get to the cars, so any security footage, maybe even from your backyard, could be helpful even if nothing was stolen from you.
