THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) — Thomasville called another emergency meeting Wednesday night after declaring a state of emergency late-Tuesday night.
The emergency order will last for the next 30-days.
On Wednesday, the council reviewed and passed an ordinance supporting that.
Mayor Greg Hobbs and commissioner Wanda Warren voted against it due to language in the document.
Hobbs says the ordinance already in place would have sufficed.
"It bothers me that we as a council would pass something like this, even though it's a state of emergency and it's not real bad yet. We can always make adjustments as necessary. "
The council said there would not be shelter in place or curfew orders.
